Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Director of Airport Services, the Airport Attendant is responsible for the upkeep of airport facilities, aircraft fueling, runway maintenance, and administrative duties related to daily operations. This role supports safe and efficient airport operations, maintaining compliance with airport standards and assisting in operational enhancements as needed.
Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma
- Current Standard First Aid Certification is considered an asset
- Valid “G” drivers’ licence
- Bilingual (French/English) is required
- Restricted Operator Certificate – Aeronautical, is considered an asset
- Previous experience in an aviation setting is preferred
- Ability to follow pre-established communication procedures
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to interact professionally with airport users and other stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Must be able to work under adverse weather conditions
Hours of Work
- An average of 25 hours of work per week, with a rotating on-call schedule
- Work hours include evenings and weekends, based on operational needs

CALL FOR NOMINEES
Municipal Council hereby invites interested individuals to submit their candidacies to fill a Municipal Councillor vacant seat.
Municipal Councillor seat
On October 7, 2025, Council adopted Resolution No. 318-25, declaring one (1) Municipal Councillor seat vacant.
Municipal Council has determined to fill this vacancy by appointment through a Call for Nominees. The term of this position is from the date of Council appointment until the end of the current term of Council, concluding on November 14, 2026.
Who Can Apply?
A candidate for municipal office must be a qualified municipal elector as set out in the Municipal Elections Act, 1996:
- Must reside in the municipality or be the owner or tenant of land in the town of Hearst, or the spouse of such owner/tenant;
- Must be a Canadian citizen;
- Must be at least 18 years old; and
- Must not be prohibited from voting under the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 or otherwise by law.

Interested individuals are invited to submit their candidacy to the Clerk’s Office by Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 4 p.m. Applicants must fill out an application form and provide a valid government-issued ID as part of their submission. The application form is available for download from the Town of Hearst website or may be obtained in person at the Clerk’s office.
