Lacroix Bus Service provides uninterrupted service throughout the year for residents within Town limits.
To reach the bus driver, call 705-372-5963.

Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

User fee

Effective June 1st, 2024, user fee is $ 4.00 / one-way.

Effective July 1st, 2024, payments in cash will no longer be accepted. Eligible users of the Community bus will need to use prepaid cards, which can be obtained from:

Lacroix Bus Service, located at 821 George Street, Hearst; or
the community bus driver (must remit the exact amount).

Prepaid card fees:

10 rides = $ 40.00
18 rides = $ 72.00

Return to eligibility criteria effective June 1st, 2024

Starting June 1st, 2024, the community bus service will revert to its eligibility criteria. Thus, the service will be available only for individuals who meet one or more of the following critera:

Persons aged 65 and over, or
Persons with physical limitations (Eligibility Form signed by physician required), or
Recipients of the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or Ontario Works who have no driver’s licence, are unemployed and have no access to a vehicle.
