Parks and Recreation
The Parks and Recreation department’s primary objective is, in partnership with other volunteers, to contribute to a healthy community and improving the quality of life through planning and management of parks and leisure and sports facilities.
This department is responsible for the planning, maintenance and programming of more than 10 city parks, softball and baseball fields, tennis courts, beach, winter slide and Claude Larose Recreation Centre. It employs five (5) full-time employees and a dozen summer students.
