Lacroix Bus Service provides uninterrupted service throughout the year for residents within Town limits.
To reach the bus driver, call 705-372-5963.
- Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
User fee
The user fee is $ 4.00 / one-way.
Effective July 1st, 2024, payments in cash will no longer be accepted. Eligible users of the Community bus will need to use prepaid cards, which can be obtained from:
- Lacroix Bus Service, located at 821 George Street, Hearst; or
- the community bus driver (must remit the exact amount).
Prepaid card fees:
- 10 rides = $ 40.00
- 18 rides = $ 72.00
Eligibility criteria
The service will be available only for individuals who meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Persons aged 60 and over, or
- Persons with physical limitations (Eligibility Form signed by physician required), or
- Recipients of the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or Ontario Works who have no driver’s licence, are unemployed and have no access to a vehicle.
