Hearst Golf Club  -- (705) 362-5529
Located 5 kilometers (three miles) north of town. Hearst Golf Club members are very friendly. This Golf Club has a nine-hole golf course, a clubhouse where you will find a restaurant, bar and a pro-shop. Equipment rentals is available.

Stéphane Lecours Municipal Pool -- (705) 372-2805
The facility features a 6 Lane, 25 meters heated swimming pool complete with 1 meter diving board, changing rooms and an open viewing gallery that seats 50. The main entrance to the pool is located on Tenth Street next to École Secondaire de Hearst High School. Except from September 4th to September 17th the pool operates year-round. The pool facility is available for rentals.

Four tennis courts covered with asphalt are available. They are also surrounded with big fences and a barrier.

Basketball -- (705) 372-2805
You can find a few basketball courts scattered around town.

Walking Trails
A beautiful walking trail along the Mattawishkwia River runs through town. The Calypso Trail is located at Lake Kennedy, 25 km west of Hearst. The Fushimi and Nagagamisis provincial parks each have their hiking trail. The Hearst Cross-Country Ski Club also offers excellent hiking paths during the summer.

Johnson's Lake Park
Located about 1 kilometer from the downtown, this municipal park features a supervised beach during the summer and a playground, a picnic area and campsites.

Canoeing
There are two long canoe routes for the adventurous canoeists. They are the Missinaibi River Canoe route and the Limestone Rapids to Fort Albany canoe route. Less challenging routes can also be found along the many rivers and lakes in the area.
