Claude Larose Arena
This arena facility was built in 1979 and contains a total floor area of 85,823 square feet. The complex houses two indoor ice rinks (east rink surface 190 feet by 80 feet and west rink surface 200 feet by 90 feet), associated dressing rooms and showers, 3 halls, a clothing depot, a pro shop, and a lobby featuring a snack bar and showcases exhibiting tournament and league memorabilia. The seating capacity of the main or west ice rink is 630 people, with a standing room capacity for another 600. The Hearst Minor Hockey Association office is conveniently located on the second floor level in this building. In 2001, the arena was officially named in honour of Claude Larose, the first local hockey player to play in the NHL.
The facility operates year-round. Ice surfaces are maintained from late August through April each year. The following programmes run during winter months: Hockey - Figure Skating - Public Skating
A youth drop-in centre, La Limite, is located on the second floor level of the arena and operates throughout the year, providing supervised social activities and a meeting place for children and teenagers between the ages of 12 and 18.

Stéphane Lecours Swimming Pool
The facility features a 6 lane, 25 metres heated swimming pool complete with 1 metre diving board, changing rooms, and an open viewing gallery that seats 60. The main entrance to the pool is located on Tenth Street, next to École Secondaire Hearst High School, at 32, Tenth St.
Except from the first two weeks of September, the pool operates year-round and is home to the Phoenix Club. In addition to a wide range of swimming courses and specialty courses for all age groups and levels of ability, the pool also offers numerous public swim sessions. In summer months, Department staff teach specialty courses for those seeking challenge and adventure.

Rentals and Reservations
Ice Rentals
Ice rinks can be rented and reserved by contacting the Town Hall, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After hours and on weekends, ice reservations can be made with the Zamboni driver at the arena. During the winter season, either ice rink may be rented at hourly rates.
Hall Rentals
Any of the halls in the arena may be rented during periods when they are not in regular use: Reservations and rentals can be arranged at the Town Hall during business hours.
