Wild Run Défi Cross-Country Hearst August 30, 2018
August 30th, 2018
Hearst, Ontario – The Hearst Economic Development in partnership with the Hearst Golf Club, the Hearst Cross Country Ski & Snowshoeing Club and Camp Source de Vie are proud to present the Wild Run Défi Cross-Country on September 29th. This race will allow outdoor enthusiasts to take up a challenge by completing a circuit in our beautiful forest.
Participants will have the chance to choose two circuits: 6 km or 12 km. The first will be filled with fun challenges and you will also be able to walk or run. In addition, participants will have the chance to turn around at anytime! The second course offers advanced runners a unique forest race experience, totally different from road running.
The purpose of this race is to encourage physical activity alone, with friends or with family. The event will take place from the Hearst Golf Club, in the trails used by the Ski and Snowshoe Club. The event also offers a dinner, raffles, a musical atmosphere with DJ and many other surprises. The Lumberjacks players will be on site throughout the day to help and meet with the participants.
People are encouraged to register alone, with family members or on a team basis and to dress up or wear the colors of their work place or organisation!
Participants will be able to register for the race starting on Thursday, August 30th, at the Gilles Gagnon Tourism Centre. The registration fee is $ 30 for adults and $ 15 for children 11 and under. The cost of participation includes the race, the dinner, a souvenir, raffles and other surprises!
Part of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Camp Source de Vie.
All details and updates will be available on the Facebook page of the event: Wild Run Défi Cross-country Hearst.
